Already in 1968, Johnson Matthey began to produce crucibles made from dispersion hardened platinum. The superior microstructure allows for higher strength and stability. As a rule, the service life is at least doubled. Depending on the strain put on it, it may even be tripled because the grain growth is permanently suppressed.
Apart from platinum, we also manufacture our crucibles and bowls from alloys of platinum with gold, iridium or rhodium. For oxide melts and crystal growth we offer custom-made devices made of pure iridium.

The designs with a strengthened rim prevent early deformation and crack formation. Particularly when crucible tongs are frequently used the life expectancy is significantly increased.

We also deliver crucibles that match the fusion devices of Eagon, Linn, Herzog, Katanax, Oxiflux, Leco and Perl-X.
We supply accessories such as tweezers, spatulas and crucible tongs. Crucible tongs with platinum shoes or platinum tips are available in lengths of 200, 250, 300, 400, 500 and 600 mm.
