Argo-braze™ products are mainly used for brazing the following materials: carbides and polycrystalline diamond segments (PCD segments), unalloyed and low-alloy steel, tool steel and stainless steel. They contain nickel and / or manganese, thereby improving the wetting of the carbides.
Tri-foils are layered solders in which the solder alloys are on both sides of a central copper layer. The foils are suitable for soldering large carbide parts with an edge length of >20 mm. They enable stress relief in the soldered seam and thereby reduce the formation of cracks in the carbide.
Argo-braze™ alloys are also available for vacuum applications and to prevent interfacial corrosion.
